Located in Central America, Honduras is a country that provides a great foundation for any one wanting to learn more about Latin America and Spanish language. The country is full of nature fauna and flora borders the Caribbean Sea and has an easy and welcoming atmosphere.
The cost of living is affordable and traveling Latin America is very efficient home for the second largest coral reef of the world Roatan Utila Ann Guanaja is paradise for divers lovers. The local money is call lempira. 1 US dollar is 18 lempiras, with this you can buy a beer in a normal bar.
What to bring?
Trujillo has an average daily temperature of 28 to 31 degrees celcius (84 to 90 f°) the day time and climate is warm and humid. It is importat to dress for warm weather- shorts tank tops,short sleeved shirts and sandals are commonly used.
We also recommend bringing an insect repellent, with a high level of DEET to word off mosquitos, sun glasses, also a small pocket alarm clock, walking shoes and sun cream. For school classes you should have a note book and spanish/english dictionary. Also we recomend that students bring some cash ($100 to 200$).
